The long fall through spring trophy seasons for both the open and O-30 divisions are close to getting underway.  How quickly the memories of last season's trophy hoisting ceremonies become just that --memories.  With so many formidable teams retooling, revamping, and preparing for the impending warfield battles, there is precious little time to celebrate past successes when precious points are at stake and soon to be for the take.  In the open division, questions still remain as to which teams are ready for the challenge, as a few promised registration forms are yet to be submitted.  For the O-30s, it's business as usual -- a stalwart seven battle-tested squads have voiced their commitments and the warriors have returned to their respective caves for the application of the requisite war paint application and tool sharpening. 

It should be mentioned, although the trophy season is getting underway, the season that determines the right to proceed to the Region IV US Adult Soccer Tournament is only halfway over, for both divisions.  Leading the way in the open division is IPS, although Thirsty Lion is keeping close pace.  The O-30s are a different story, with an indefatigable Kell's squad boasting a 9-0 record in the spring campaign and a double-digit lead on the next closest squad, Red Army.   

The manager's meeting is taking place next Monday, August 25th, from 7 PM to 9 PM at Kell's in the Red Room, upstairs.  All teams are required to provide representation.
